HATTIESBURG, MS – April 4, 2025 – Hattiesburg Speedway roared into week 3 of the 2025 points season this past weekend, delivering a thrilling night of racing action across multiple divisions. From the high-speed 600cc Mini-Sprints to the gritty Outlaw Stingers, drivers battled fiercely for supremacy on the dirt oval. 600cc Mini-Sprints: Atwood Family Affair
The 600cc Mini-Sprints kicked off with Scott Atwood (#13) taking Heat 1 from third, outpacing Devin Sullivan (#68) and Doug Taylor (#48). In Heat 2, Tony Atwood (#15) surged from fourth to claim the win, followed by Brian Holifield (#4B) and Adam Atwood (#10E). The 15-lap A Feature saw Tony Atwood take the early lead, but problems started to mar his quest for the checkered flag as his top wing started coming apart and affect his handling of the car on the track. As the laps ticked down, Tony was leading the race when something in the rearend of the car gave way and ended his night, giving Scott Atwood the lead and held on to secure the victory, with Jim Kradel (#19K) making a stunning climb from ninth to second. Devin Sullivan grabbed third, while Doug Taylor and Brian Holifield completed the top five, making it a competitive night for the division.
CRUSA Street Stocks: Sheasby Steals the Show
In the CRUSA Street Stocks, Travis Marsh (#X2C) won Heat 1 from second, fending off Bryce Sheasby (#13) and Calvin Martin (#C24).
